The magazine, which is produced by a team of volunteers, is completely self-financed through advertising. In addition to sharing news and reviews from our local community, The Link is committed to using any surplus income to support local groups, organisations and individuals with small-scale donations to promote community engagement, support personal development or help someone in need.

Editorial
Alongside feature articles, business spotlights, book and art reviews and updates from Joan Cockett’s Cobb’s Cottage, the magazine includes news from local schools and information about local events and traders.
We welcome articles from individuals, interest groups and organisations, including personal stories, news and feature articles.

History
Records show the existence of a parish magazine, published by the local church from 1892, but it was 89 years later, in 1981, that the two Parish Councils of St Minver Lowlands and St Minver Highlands came together to donate a sum of money to finance the launch of a community magazine.
It was envisioned that the new publication would act as a ‘link’ between various clubs, organisations and groups in the area, hence the origins of the magazine’s name.
Since its first publication, 40 years ago, the magazine has gone from strength to strength.
Hearing Your Voice
In addition to our regular features, we actively encourage contributions from readers, whether you are a local resident or just visiting. We welcome articles from individuals, interest groups and organisations, including personal stories, news and feature articles. We are particularly keen to receive material from new contributors. Whether you have taken a fantastic photograph, invented a new recipe or have a story or information that would be of interest to others, then share it with the editorial team.
“Being a West Country man it helps keep me in touch with what is going on locally. The standard of production by a group of volunteers is to be commended greatly.”
